Let's ride in circles!
Let's ride in circles!
Who can ride?
EVERYONE! Bring the fam, ride with them, or just make them watch you!!
It's a party, it's a Saturday, and you're not busy.
Where?
Amos Catlin Park in Folsom, 825 Russi Road, near Sandra Gallardo Elementary, near Folsom High School.
There is parking at the park and on the street, but hey - maybe just ride a bike there!
When?
Official start at 10, but show when you can.
Join in the middle, no rules.
What's the course? How do we register.
We'll ride clockwise around the block, rinse, repeat. CIRCLES!!!
Just keep turning right. Map of the ourse below.
It's one mile (1.6k) around. Ride it over and over - that's the point. Also, there is no point.
Ride w GPS link to location and course .
You can Register your interest on Ride w GPS if you are so included, not required. Nobody owns or is "managing" this event.
Are there rules?
Lord no. But also yes.
Wear a helmet. Obey road rules. Don't fall off. Watch for cars. Cars are a menace. Especially Teslas.
Wear a giant foam cowboy hat. Or a speedo. You be you. That's the point.
How much do we ride?
When is it over?? Up to you. Ride one lap, ride 12 laps... ride 100 and be a legend.
Ride a few laps and take a break, and ride some more. Surprise yourself.
This is fun, damn it - just enjoy bikes and the (nearly guaranteed) sunshine.
Wear sunscreen.
Is there food and support?
If you bring it, yes. This is what we call an "unsupported" ride.
Bring your family and BBQ at the park,100%, pass out hot dogs and cheese sticks.
There are restrooms at the park, but access is not certain. Working on that.
Is this a race?
Absolutely not. Please don't. And wear a helmet.
Are there awards?
No. Bike rides are a reward. Also, awards are expensive and fascist.
There might be "sponsors" but really it's just for fun and sun. And bikes.
